Student ICONS is excited to announce that participants in our annual HBCU Youth Summer Sewing Camp will have the opportunity to showcase their finished creations during the Historic Downtown Lancaster Juneteenth Celebration on Saturday, June 20, 2026! ❤️💚🖤💛
Join Student ICONS this summer in Mansfield, Texas for an exciting 4-day fashion and sewing experience designed for youth ages 8–16. Participants will learn beginner sewing skills while designing and creating their own HBCU-inspired hoodie based on a Historically Black College or University of their choice.
Throughout the week, students will explore the history, colors, traditions, and culture of their selected HBCU while bringing their fashion vision to life through sewing and design.
The camp will conclude with a special Fashion Show Finale at the Historic Downtown Lancaster Juneteenth Celebration, where students will proudly showcase their finished garments for the community, family, and guests.
